Is God Too Simple an Explanation?

According to the most widely accepted scientific explanation of the present state of biological affairs, somewhere around three and a half billion years ago life began on earth. Life was simple then (pun not intended), because all life is said to stem from a common one-celled organism. Moreover, according to the Theory of Evolution, this one-celled organism was the seed that grew into a tree, branching out to become a kind of network of vastly different and more complex living organisms, vis-à-vis vegetation and animal life, which, according to naturalists, includes humans!

Imagine! If we simply consider only our own history from this one-celled organism, we would have to account for the growth of one cell into a complex human organism having 3.013 cells. That’s 3 with 13 zeros. In other words, one cell has morphed into 30 trillion cells, which make up the average adult human body. Now, this has all been done naturally without having been imposed upon by an outside force, other than males and females acting upon each other. And, gender is another hypothesis entirely—how did that happen from this one-celled organism?

Anyway, what success! Wow, without even trying, for there is no real purpose in the evolutionary process, this one-celled organism has become responsible for the entire evolutionary tree! Keep in mind, that our brilliant scientists today, with all the tools and laboratories they have at their disposal, cannot recreate even a single, living one-celled organism, let alone one that can reproduce itself. Most modern biologists would have us believe that, contrary to their own lack of success in proving all this through the scientific method, life began as one cell, and it grew into a tree of complexity. Nevertheless, no one has ever methodologically, using the scientific method, created life in a controlled environment. The simple to the complex, doesn’t work; all the king’s laboratories and all the king’s biologists, notwithstanding. Oh, but wait! One might say: “…doesn’t every human life begin as one cell from mom and one cell from dad (gamete)?” Yes, this is true, but the DNA is already part of the map of these two cells, and together they program the growth of this new life. It’s done every day, because that gamete is already a complex organism. Once the two cells combine, they already know what to do, and they live inside mom (the perfect laboratory) until the work is complete. It may happen every day, but it certainly isn’t a simple matter.

Enter God! At this point, believers would look to God, and introduce him to the biologist as the Originator of life. Even atheists would have to agree that a living God, such as we find in our Bible, would necessarily be infinitely complex, if, indeed, he was responsible for our universe and all it contains, including all its life-forms. So, if God, then complexity is no longer an issue. Just as it is seen every day, and all around us, complex life forms are able to reproduce other, similar, complex life forms—not a problem! Complexity, naturally, reproduces complexity. With God, the whole question of our beginnings is a slam dunk! Oh, but wait! One may retort that God isn’t scientific! He cannot be proved using the scientific method. True! However, God isn’t a physical Being, and science is the study of the physical, so, yes, no one can physically prove the existence of the Spirit (God).

On the other hand, which evolutionary biologist, while using the scientific method has been able to physically prove his own physical claims? Which evolutionary biologist or group of biologists have ever created even one single-celled organism in a laboratory, which was capable of reproducing itself? Time and time again, using their own data, attempting to prove the hypothesis: that the simple morphs into the complex to form the evolutionary biological tree, they’ve come up empty. Is anyone even trying to prove this anymore in a laboratory, or do our scientists simply move along to other important matters and teach their unproved theories to our children? One must ask oneself, if everyone is taught to believe the simple leads to the complex, who would be left to question this unproved hypothesis?
