Three times the white Evangelical Church has sought to empower folks to do this. Can this be described as something Jesus would do? If not, why aren’t we uniting in one voice against this practice, and tell Donald Trump this is too much; he has gone too far?

We simply cannot wrap ourselves in the American flag and hang a cross around our necks and call this Christian. It’s not even justice. This is where we’re sending our illegal immigrants and others, whom we deem undesirable, and everything that’s done gets done without due process.
Can we say that this photo of this prison, where we’re sending human beings for the rest of their lives, is cruel and unusual punishment? Can we agree on this point? Is this a place where you would expect to find yourself, if you had committed an offense against American law—any law, local, state or federal? If this is the bedding arrangement, what do the bathroom facilities look like? Do you consider this type of thing humane? …and please don’t try to play the “Pilate Card” here, saying your support of Trump is for other reasons. You simply cannot wash yourself clean enough with that excuse.
Responsibility must be taken for actions committed. White Evangelicals supported Trump’s candidacy in November, and this goes with that. He coined the phrase migrant crime during his campaign, and you agreed with Trump’s interpretation of our immigrant problem, so no one should be surprised, with his solution. According to Kristi Noam, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, these folks that we see in the photo above are terrorists, but how does she know? They’ve been deported here without due process—assumed guilty without proof or even a chance to publicly protest what was being done to them.
The word of God tells us, it is unjust to punish a person for wrongdoing without at least two witnesses to tell us, what crime he has committed (Deuteronomy 19:15). Folks aren’t terrorists simply because Kristi Noam accuses them of being terrorists. Yet, Trump has sent hundreds of Venezuelan immigrants to El Salvador’s prison camps without due process. They were accused of being criminals, but they were never tried or given a hearing. That’s not only unconstitutional, it is also a crime against the Law of God, and those who commit such deeds are cursed by God (Deuteronomy 27:19).
It would seem to me that the last folks white Evangelical Christians should desire to associate with or partner with would be folks, whom the Lord curses for their unconscionable deeds. But, are you willing to admit you’ve done wrong by supporting Donald Trump in his bid for the Presidency and repent and sever your association with him? Keep in mind, however, simply admitting this is wrong, or simply saying Trump shouldn’t have done such a thing, isn’t enough. Repentance requires us to go the other way, vis-à-vis sever any relationship we have with the works of evil.
One final point to consider is this. Criminals need to be punished, yes, I get that. However, should their punishment be indiscriminate? Not so, according to the word of God; punishment should be an “eye for an eye…” which should not be taken literally. It’s hyperbole to say the punishment should equal the crime! In an earlier post, I mentioned that CBS’ 60 Minuets reported that at least most of the folks Trump deported here, to El Salvador’s prisons, had not committed any reported crime, and, since they were deported without due process, we’ll never know, if anything could be said to the contrary.
If this isn’t bad enough, Trump has said he is looking into sending American criminals to El Salvador to be imprisoned there. Of course he claims only those who have committed the most heinous crimes would be sent there, but, given the fact that Trump has been called a serial liar, and lies as a matter of policy, can he be trusted to do that, not to mention the fact that, yes, these men Trump refers to would be criminals, should we send American citizen to such a place, knowing it is cruel and unusual punishment? Look at the photo again and ask yourself, “Is this what Makes America Great?”

Indeed, I’m dismayed at how even Malaysian Christians have been misled into supporting Trump by Americans they look up to.
Greetings Ian, thank you for your comment. Lord bless you.
I didn’t realize Malaysian Christians were so influenced by American Christians. Thank you for that.
American Christianity has had a worldwide influence — much of it good, like the folks who planted many churches — but sometimes bad, like the current idolization of Trump.
