Galatians is a book that shows us we are no longer under the Law. That is, we are no longer under the ministry of death. The Law doesn’t condemn us as it was used under the Old Covenant. The Law serves today only as a tool to show what sin is. We are under grace, and the Lord through the Spirit causes us to live in a righteous manner. Many of us still have trouble believing Christians aren’t under the Law. Legalism has been a problem in the Church from the time of the Apostles, and the fact that it is still so today illustrates how difficult it is to get across to mankind’s understanding of justice and fair play that we are under grace and not law. God isn’t out to “get” us trap us or even judge us. He loves us and has set us free and Paul’s epistle to the Galatians tells us how that is not only possible but a reality.
Below are two links to the times I studied this book. The second study is by far the more in-depth study, but the first is also valuable in my opinion. It is there for folks who would rather skim over the book rather than soak in the details.
Lord bless all who come here to learn, and my the Lord help each one to walk in an ever closer relationship with him.
