After about a decade since I taught a Sunday school class on the Gospel of Luke, I’ve decided to return to this wonderful Gospel and study it once more, and perhaps pausing longer at each passage.
In this particular page I have taken a special interest both in Luke, the writer of this Gospel and in Theophilus, Luke’s addressee. I have touched upon both of these characters in an earlier study on the Book of Acts, but in this study I have gone a little further to show their identities.
This page covers only Luke’s introduction and the infancy narratives. I intend to cover Jesus’ baptism and the very beginning of his public ministry in another series. All in all, I believe Jesus’ public ministry took three and one-half years to complete. I hope readers who come here find the studies below both interesting and informative. May the Lord bless all who come here to read and consider these things.
