At times the study of God’s word inspires controversy. This is not necessarily a bad thing. If we are really seeking the truth–and not merely to support a favorite idea–then controversy can cause one to think in terms he is not normally able to do. An opposing point of view, rightly stated, can open one’s mind to something one would never have thought about before. This is what the Apostles did in the first century. They created controversy by challenging the then current idea about the Messiah that he would come and make war with Israel’s enemies and make them the first of the nations, causing all nations to submit to him. This is only partially true. The Apostles preached Christ (the Messiah) crucified, but resurrected. It is **this** Christ who will cause or is causing all nations to submit to him through the Gospel. Below are other controversial issues, which the reader may find interesting and possibly challenging. I invite your criticism and / or support through your comments. Lord bless all who come here to read and think.
