I believe Jesus is Lord. He is King of kings and Lord of lords, and presently rules the nations (Revelation 11:15). He has kept his word to us and came to vindicate his saints and to judge his enemies (Matthew 23:32-35; 26:64). He did this in 70 AD, i.e. within the generation in which he promised to do so (Matthew 16:27-28; 23:34-36).
I believe Jesus has washed away all our sins (Revelation 1:5; 1John 1:7). He is the Savior of the world (John 4:42; 1Timothy 4:10; 1John 4:14), and besides him there is no other (Acts 4:12). So, whomsoever calls upon his name shall be saved (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13).
I believe Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1) who became flesh (John 1:14). In other words, he is God come in the flesh, and he came to destroy the works of the Devil (1John 3:8). This has been done, so all that remains is for man to recognize the fact that Jesus has been true to his word and can be trusted, and, by yielding to his rule, they may have eternal life.
